Countables – Uncountables Megszámlálható és megszámlálhatalan főnevek
A megszámlálható főneveknek van egyes és többesszámú alakjuk, meg lehet őket számolni. Használhatjuk az ‘a/an’ névelőt és számokat is velük. Többesszámú alakjukat has
ználjuk, ha általánosságban beszélünk róluk.
Eg.: an apple, apples, five apples.
Apples are good for you (in general).
A megszámlálhatatlan főneveknek nincs többesszámuk és nem tudjuk megszámolni őket. Nem használhatjuk az ‘a/an’ névelőt vagy számokat velük. Egyesszámban használjuk, ha általánosságban beszélünk róluk. Ha meg szeretnénk adni mennyiséget belőlük, mennyiséget jelző kifejezéseket használunk velük.
E.g.: money (NOT! moneys) nem mondhatjuk azt, hogy ‘Három pénzem van’.

I bought 2 kilos of meat.

Common mistake:
A ‘much’ nem használható állításban, csak kérdésben és tagadásban.
