Most people have a limited opportunity during the first few days of January to keep up their motivation. After that, they forget their resolutions completely. So get into action as soon as possible. After making a resolution your first thing should be to create your plan as advised above.

As the saying goes: words fly away, writings remain. This means that not only you always have to formulate a plan but you also have to put it down. Use a notebook or journal and write down your resolution and the way you’ll reach this goal. This helps you stick to it.
